Democratic Transition

Based on the Uppsala Conflict Data Program, TJET records one violent intrastate conflict episode between 2000 and 2001, involving one armed opposition group fighting against the government.

Amnesties
Guinea had eight amnesties between 1977 and 2007. Seven amnesties released political prisoners. One amnesty forgave human rights violations.

Domestic Trials
TJET has compiled data on twelve domestic prosecutions between 1971 and 2019. These include ten regular human rights prosecutions of state agents, in which ten persons were convicted; and two opposition prosecutions of state agents or opposition members, in which eight persons were convicted.
