Amnesties
Bolivia had two amnesties between 1984 and 2003. One was passed after internal armed conflict. One amnesty released political prisoners.

Domestic Trials
TJET has compiled data on 36 domestic prosecutions between 1983 and 2020. These include three transitional human rights prosecutions of state agents, in which eight persons were convicted; 33 regular human rights prosecutions of state agents, in which ten persons were convicted; and one opposition prosecution of state agents or opposition members, in which five persons were convicted. In one trial that involved high-ranking state agents, two persons were convicted.

Foreign Trials
Nationals of Bolivia were defendants in two foreign prosecutions in France and Italy beginning between 1983 and 1998.

Reparations Policies
Bolivia implemented one reparations policy between 2005 and 2012. According to available information, there was a total of 6178 individual beneficiaries.

Truth Commissions
Bolivia mandated two truth commissions in 1982 and 2016. The commissions completed their operations in 1985 and 2020. One of the commissions issued a final report, which is publicly available. The report included recommendations for prosecutions, reparations, and institutional reforms.
