Democratic Transition
Based on well-known democracy data, TJET records one democratic transition starting in 1992.

Violent Conflict
Based on the Uppsala Conflict Data Program, TJET records no episodes of violent intrastate conflict in Taiwan between 1970 and 2020.
Transitional Justice Data

Amnesties
Taiwan had one amnesty in 1991. One amnesty released political prisoners.

Domestic Trials
TJET has compiled data on nine domestic prosecutions between 1982 and 2020. These include nine regular human rights prosecutions of state agents, in which 22 persons were convicted.

Reparations Policies
Taiwan implemented two reparations policies between 1995 and 2010. According to available information, there was a total of 10062 individual beneficiaries. One reparations policy provided collective benefits.

Truth Commissions
Taiwan mandated one truth commission in 2017. The commission completed its operations in 2022. The commission issued a final report, which is publicly available.
